Lena M. Gantt Scholarship

This scholarship was established to support students from the Rochester City School District to achieve their education and improve their employment opportunities. It is named in honor of Lena M. Gantt, mother of New York State Assembly Member David F. Gantt, who instilled the importance of education as the key that unlocks many doors.

ELIGIBILITY

1.) Full-time students enrolled in a degree or certificate program.
2.) Rochester City School District graduate.
3.) Demonstrated unmet financial need.
4.) HS GPA of 2.5 or higher.
5.) MCC GPA of 3.0 for continued eligibility; priority will be given to returning students who received the Lena M. Gantt Scholarship in their first year.
6.) Preference given to students from historically underrepresented groups including African Americans or Hispanic Americans.
