Anna C. Price Poetry Scholarship

The Anna C. Price Poetry Scholarship is given each year to a student who shows promise as a writer, who has a love for poetry, who understands the power of language, and who has taken one or more Creative Writing Classes.

ELIGIBILITY

1.) Must be a current student in the academic year (fall or spring semester) the award is granted .
2.) Must be registered for or have already taken at least one Creative Writing course, including ENG 113, ENG 213, ENG 233, ENG 243, ENG 253, ENG 263, or ENG 273.
3.) Must be registered to attend MCC in the following semester after receipt of the award.

Guidelines for poem submission:

  • Submit a poem (no more than 100 lines) and 500 words about what poetry means to you.
  • Include line count and word count at the top.
  • Include name, address, phone number, and email address.
  • Include current major.
