NEW STUDENT: Marcia W. McDowell Presidential Endowed Scholarship for Academic Excellence
Marcia W. McDowell, professor emerita of food, hotel and tourism management, established this scholarship in 2007 to build on academic success by offering substantial awards up to full tuition to students who have demonstrated the highest degree of academic preparation, achievement and promise.
ELIGIBILITY
Full Scholarship (amount based on current tuition cost)
- Full-time enrolled freshman (graduating high school seniors only).
- High school average of 95 percent or higher.
- SAT score of 1300 or above or ACT score of 29 or above.
Half Scholarship (amount based on current tuition cost)
- Full-time enrolled freshman (graduating high school seniors only).
- High school average of 92 percent or higher.
- SAT score of 1200 or above or ACT score of 25 or above.
Quarter Scholarship (amount based on current tuition cost)
- Full-time enrolled freshman (graduating high school seniors only).
- High school average of 85 percent or higher.
- SAT score of 1120 or above or ACT score of 25 or above.
(SAT combined scores in Critical Reading and Math. ACT is a composite score.)
Required GPA for renewal:
- Full scholarship: 3.5
- Half scholarship: 3.2
- Quarter scholarship: 3.0
