Experiential Learning Scholarship

Experiential learning provides students with valuable hands-on experiences that complement classroom learning. These courses typically integrate academics and the work environment to prepare students for future careers. This scholarship provides financial support for Monroe Community College students to enroll and engage in these opportunities.

The scholarship recognizes the extraordinary commitment of Bill Sigismond, director of adult and experiential learning at MCC for more than 25 years. During his career he was a relentless advocate for students enrolled in experiential learning programs. He helped students to connect their experiences with college credit and found ways to enable students to pursue these opportunities when they thought it was not possible. This scholarship honors Bill’s extraordinary commitment to MCC students.
