Empowerment for Change Scholarship

Established to empower individuals who are determined to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those grappling with addiction, this scholarship will support students in the Addictions Counseling A.S. Degree or Certificate Programs at Monroe Community College. By addressing the pressing need in our community, this scholarship aims to equip passionate individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to support those on the path to recovery. Through education, we strive to foster compassion, resilience, and lasting positive change, creating a stronger and healthier community for all.

ELIGIBILITY

1.) Full or part-time students.
2.) Demonstrated financial need.
3.) MCC GPA of 2.5.
4.) Enrolled in Addictions Counseling A.S. Degree or Certificate Program.
5.) Preference for students who intend to pursue certification as a credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselor.
6.) The donor desires that special consideration be given to students who have overcome obstacles in order to pursue their education.
