Mark Harris Memorial Scholarship

After enjoying a successful career at Kodak, Mark Harris desired to give back to the community in retirement. He enrolled in Monroe Community College’s Emergency Medical Services program so he could help his neighbors through his work as an EMT with Penfield Ambulance. This scholarship honors his legacy of community service and the essential work of first responders by supporting students, in perpetuity, enrolled in MCC’s EMT and paramedic programs.

ELIGIBILITY

1.) Full or part-time students.
2.) Demonstrated financial need or merit.
3.) Enrolled in Emergency Medical Services or Paramedic degree or certificate programs.
4.) Preference for students with prior volunteer experience with a local EMS company or who have particpated in an EMS Explorer’s Program.
5.) Preference for students with a demonstrated passion and commitment to the work of a first responder.
