NEW STUDENT: Summers Career Technical Education Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to inspire Rochester and Monroe County-area students to continue their education at Monroe Community College in Associate Degree or Certificate programs in the fields of Tooling and Machining, Construction Technology, and other skilled trades. The Summers Career Technical Education Scholarship will provide last dollar scholarship funds to the limits established annually by the Federal Government for the purposes of assessing financial aid eligibility for total education expenses including, but not limited to tuition, fees, books, food, housing (on campus or off), transportation, and childcare.

ELIGIBILITY

1.) Full-time in an A.A.S or Certificate degree program.
2.) Preference for the fields of Tooling and Machining, Construction Technology, or other skilled trades.
3.) Preference for graduates of RCSD.
4.) Preference for students who are enrolled or have completed MCC dual enrollment courses.
5.) Demonstrated financial need.
6.) Minimum HS GPA of 2.5.
7.) MCC GPA of 2.5 for continued eligibility.
