The Gilbert and Joyce Jordan Endowed Scholarship for English

Established in 2011 to support students taking courses in MCC’s English department where Mr. Jordan was an English professor for 15 years, retiring in 1985.

ELIGIBILITY

1. Full-time student enrolled in composition or literature courses.
2. Demonstrated unmet financial need for first-year students; preference given to second-year students with financial need who meet the additional criteria stated below.
3. Minimum MCC GPA of 2.5, including 3.0 in English.
4. Expressed interest in pursuing a career in English Studies.
