Meier Supply Company, Inc. HVACR Studies Scholarship Program
The purpose of this policy is to define the eligibility requirements, application process and award conditions for the Meier Supply Co., Inc. HVACR Studies Scholarship Program.
Scholarship Purpose
The Meier Supply Co., Inc. HVACR Studies Scholarship Program aims to support the next generation of skilled trade laborers in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) field.
The Program promotes education and supports individuals pursuing HVACR certification and related studies by providing financial assistance and the essential tools required for entry into the field. Meier Supply Co., Inc. believes that each student should have access to necessary tools to enter this field. Meier Supply Co., Inc. works with supporting vendors and partners to provide a startup tool kit in addition to financial assistance.
Eligibility
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet all the following criteria at the time of application and award:
• Be actively enrolled, or accepted for enrollment, in an educational institution within a eighty (80) mile radius of a Meier Supply Co., Inc. branch
• Be pursuing a two-year HVAC Technician certificate or equivalent HVACR-related educational program
• Be a recent high school graduate or possess a recognized equivalent credential (e.g., GED)
Scholarship Details
• A monetary award amount of $2,500 USD
• A startup tool kit, the contents of which shall be determined solely by Meier Supply Co., Inc. Meier Supply Co., Inc. recognizes the high workforce demand for skilled HVACR professionals in New York, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts. Therefore, a total of four (4) scholarships will be awarded. No more than two (2) scholarships may be awarded within a single state, including New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
Application Process
Scholarship applications are available through Meier Supply Co., Inc. and must be submitted in accordance with the following requirements:
• All applications must be received by March 31, 2026
- Incomplete applications or applications received after this deadline will not be considered.
• The Meier Supply Scholarship Committee will review all eligible applications beginning in April 2026. - Selection decisions are made solely at the discretion of the Committee. All decisions made by the committee are final and not subject to appeal.
• Selected recipients will be notified in May 2026.
Selection Criteria
Scholarship recipients will be selected at the sole discretion of Meier Supply Co., Inc. based on the following non-exclusive factors:
• Academic achievement
• Demonstrated financial need
• Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in the HVACR trade
n consent authorizing a Meier Supply Co., Inc. representative to communicate directly with their institution’s financial aid office
• Failure to provide required consent or institutional information may result in the forfeiture of the scholarship award
The startup tool kit will be sent via mail to the recipient’s home address on file. Meier Supply Co., Inc. is not responsible for lost, stolen, or delayed shipments once the tool kit has been dispatched.
Meeting the minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee selection or receipt of an award.
Disbursement of Monies & Startup Tool Kit
Meier Supply Co., Inc. will coordinate with each recipient’s educational institution’s financial aid office to determine the appropriate method for disbursing scholarship funds prior to the start of the 2026-2027 academic year.
• Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the educational institution and will not be issued directly to recipients (Financial Aid offices note: This is a non-tuition scholarship that may be applied to scholarship expenses. Otherwise, may be used for fees and required educational materials)
